Beginning July 1st I will officially be a studio artist at Redux Contemporary Art Center.

Becoming a Redux artist has been a major goal of mine ever since I decided to pursue my professional art career. I am honored to join such a reputable creative community and am eager to forge new friendships. I know that I have so much to learn from this amazing group of Charleston artists, and I just can't wait to get settled into my new home away from home.

What is even more exciting is joining Redux while it is on the brink of a major change. The center will be moving locations in the beginning of 2017 into a completely renovated facility on upper King. I'm glad to have the chance to work in the original location for the next 6 months before making the move; I'm happy I will be able to appreciate the new space and all of it's improvements along with the other Redux veterans. I know that countless hours of research, planning and worrying have gone into this move, and I'd like to thank everyone who made it possible to keep us creatives in a facility located in downtown Charleston, an area that moves and inspires us all.

I'm feeling all of the feelings: excited, nervous, energized, a little intimidated, but mostly READY. July can't come soon enough!
