Last summer, one of my most beautiful and special friends, Schuyler Sutton, got married to the love of her life, Danny Gavula.  Schuyler and I have been friends since the 6th grade, and being a part of her wedding meant a lot to me.  It is an amazing thing to share monumental life experiences with people you have known since childhood; it was an unforgettable and sentimental weekend in DC to say the least.

Both Schuyler and Danny share a passion for travel and adventure; they both have a serious case of wonderlust.  I wanted to give them something thoughtful and meaningful for their wedding gift, so keeping their personalities in mind, I created a piece featuring the Stephanotis flower.

The Stephanotis flower represents happiness in marriage and a love of travel (the perfect spirit flower for the Gavulas, if I do say so myself).  I was finally able to complete it earlier this year, and I shipped it off To NYC, where it now lives with the most well-travelled couple I know.

Cheers to the Gavulas! May your adventures bring you both to Charleston in the near future, XOXO
